Mary Grabar earned her Ph.D. in English from the University of Georgia in 2002.   Since that time, she has taught at a number of colleges in the Atlanta area and has published numerous articles and reports about education, culture, and politics for America’s Survival, the Weekly Standard, Pajamas Media, American Thinker, CNS News, Townhall, Minding the Campus, Big Government, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, and the others. 

She is also a published poet and fiction writer.  In 2011, The Alexander Hamilton Institute for the Study of Western Civilization invited her to lead a Leadership Luncheon discussion on Flannery O’Connor and awarded her the summer 2011 Bakwin Fellowship. 

Mary has been invited to several conferences on issues regarding radicalism and education and has been interviewed on various radio and television programs.  Her writing is posted at www.marygrabar.com. 

Mary was born in Slovenia, but her parents took her out of what was then Yugoslavia, eluding the communist leader’s border guards.  After spending a year as refugees in Austria, the two-year-old Mary, her six-week-old sister, and parents settled in Rochester, New York.  She has lived in Georgia since 1985.
